BAÑOS Thanks to the fabulous location of our hotel there are a whole range of activities that visitors have the opportunity to take part in. Travelling around Baños and its surrounding areas is also easy by either bus or taxi. The Baños de Agua Santa public baths are situated some four kilometres away from Chamanapamba. Hot springs and cold pools, numerous hotels - some with their own spas - restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, artisan markets, internet cafes and travel agencies can all be found here in the town centre. Mountain and jungle tours, rafting, canyoning, bungee jumping, quad-biking, rental of mountain bikes and motorbikes, horseriding, sightseeing tours in chivas (open trucks with original décor, wooden benches and tropical music), visits to the San Martin Baños Zoo and the snake enclosure are all activities you can undertake in Baños. You can even cross the River Pastaza on wooden swings or visit the town centre's basilica. Baños is an important place of worship due to the town's connection with the saint, the Virgin of Holy Water (la Virgen de Agua Santa). Heading eastwards you will find the Corredor de las Orchideas (The Orchid Corridor) and the waterfalls between Baños and Puyo (around 60 kms), the most spectacular being the Pailón del Diablo Cascade located in the village of Rio Verde. The best way to enjoy the stunning scenery is by mountain bike. In Baños's surrounding areas there are several trails where you can go walking and truly discover for yourself the natural beauty the area has to offer. Contact us:
